Oct. 15 4 p.m.-8 p.m.  Gratitude Gathering

Hillsdale Real Estate Group is having a free family friendly gathering in their parking lot off of Highway 158.  This event will include food, live entertainment and ten-minute massages.  If you wear your favorite Halloween costume, you will be able to use the bouncy house and be eligible to win door prizes.

Oct. 17 10 a.m.-12 a.m. Jamestown Library Centennial Celebration

Jamestown Public Library will be celebrating its one hundredth anniversary on Oct. 7.  The celebration will include free tours of the library and live entertainment.

Oct. 17 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  Reptiday Reptile and Exotic Animal Show

Located at 421 West 27th Street in Winston Salem, the Reptiday Animal Show will offer free education, and live animal seminars in order to demonstrate how to properly care for a reptilian pet.

Oct. 17 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Salem College Women’s Conference

Join female business leaders from across the country to learn what role women play in the modern workforce and how to foster skills that will lead to a better career. Admission is free for Salem students if they pre-register.

Oct. 17 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Pride Winston Salem Festival and Parade

Located at the Arts District in downtown Winston Salem, the Pride Festival will include food trucks, performances, and powerful speeches by the LGBTQA community in order to empower and support different sexualities.

Oct. 18 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Sunset Flicks showing of Ghostbusters

Sunset Flicks will be showing a free viewing of Ghostbusters at 310 N. Marshall Street. This organization shows a variety of movies for free at this location every Sunday in July, August, September, and October.

Oct. 20 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Book Reading/Launch for Charlie Lovett’s The Further Adventures of Ebenezer Scrooge

Charlie Lovett will be launching his sequel to Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at Reynolda Manor Library.

Oct. 31 12 p.m.-4 p.m. Fall Festival at Harvest Church

Harvest Church in Greensboro will be having their fall festival on Halloween. Free admission includes games, bounce house, rock climbing wall, face painting and popcorn.
